Hyderabad Arena Polo 2024

The tournament presented itself in a unique format: each team had to face the remaining teams playing only two chukker rounds on the same day, for a total of six chukker rounds. Hence, there was no room for error for any teams, and each matchup was an opportunity to score big, as the winner would eventually be decided as a sum of the total score from both rounds.

The teams were ready to experience the thrill of Arena Polo and were poised to play every chukker as a do-or-die situation to emerge victorious. 

Chukker 1: HPRC vs Rajasthan Polo Club
Date: 1 September 

The first round of Arena Polo started with HPRC and Rajasthan Polo Club. Both teams played aggressively, but the fact that Rajasthan Polo were not so good at defence and diverting the ball, they gradually bled out goals successively and lost the game. 

Score: HPRC ( 5-2 )

Chukker 2: Rajasthan Polo Club-2 vs Chandigarh Polo Club

The second round started and was the last chance for Rajasthan Polo to score big and have a formidable total. They were against Chandigarh Polo, who displayed quite inexperience and were able to amass only a single goal while conceding more than half a dozen goals in just one round.

Chukker 3: Chandigarh Polo Club-2 vs HPRC-2 

Chandigarh Polo faced HPRC to redeem themselves in this round. They were able to find their composure and perform much better than their previous game and dethroned HPRC from their winning streak, defeating them by a single point margin.

Chukker 4: HPRC vs Chandigarh Polo Club

The next chukker featured the dominating side of HPRC against Chandigarh Polo. HPRC ruled the entire round as they thrashed the opponents with a flurry of goals and had possession of the ball almost every time, resulting in a clean sweep with 9 to 0 points.

Chukker 5: Rajasthan Polo Club vs Chandigarh Polo Club-2

The fifth round was a bout between RPC and Chandigarh Polo Club-2. There was a clear and massive gap between the teams, as shown in the numbers given below. They were able to use their mallets significantly well and scored eight consecutive goals without offering even a slight chance for Chandigarh Polo to bounce back into the game.

Score: RPC ( 8-0 )

Chukker 6: Rajasthan Polo Club 2 vs HPRC-2 

The last chukker was played between RPC-2 and HPRC-2. Continuing their presiding over the game, RPC once again commanded their horses towards the win as they kept attacking from every direction towards HPRC’s goalposts, making their posts a fortress that HPRC couldn’t breach even once.
