Jaipur Polo Final: General Amar Singh Kanota Cup (4 Goal)

Four teams, comprising some new faces who showcased their talents under the able guidance of experienced players, indulged themselves in an exciting format to claim the highly desirable General Amar Singh Kanota Cup. Come aboard to view their adventure through the numerous stages of the event.

Match 1: Kanota/Spectrum Polo vs RPC

Date: 23 October 

The first game of the General Amar Singh Kanota Cup marked the dominant arrival of Kanota/Spectrum Polo against the RPC team. Despite having the upper hand at the start, RPC was completely run over by the force of Kanota Polo. They found it extremely hard to control the ball and conceded a dozen goals. 

Winner: Kanota/Spectrum Polo ( 12-4.5 )

Match 2: Jaipur vs V-Polo 

Date: 24 October 

The next game kept people on their toes. It was a battle between the teams of Jaipur and V-Polo. The players from both teams were almost evenly matched in experience, which made the match interesting. V-Polo fought hard, but Jaipur was more determined and focused towards the end, which gave them the required push over the finish line.

Winner: Jaipur (8-6)

Semi-Final 1: Jaipur vs RPC

Date: 25 October 

Time advanced, and it was time for the first semi-final game between Jaipur and RPC. RPC had a points advantage ahead of the game, which made this game a close call towards the end. Jaipur were again able to hold their nerves quite well and make their well-deserving place in the finals. 

Winner: Jaipur (8-6.5)

Semi-Final 2: V-Polo vs Kanota/Spectrum Polo

The second semi-final game got neck to neck when V-Polo faced the side of Kanota/Spectrum Polo. After a dominating display in the first game, the latter team was confident going into the game. On the other hand, V-Polo had already faced a loss, but they were ready for the challenge and performed when it mattered the most. They could muster a couple of extra goals by the end of the last round, which confirmed their place in the finals.

Winner: V-Polo (8-6)

Mathura Das Mathur Exhibition Polo Match: Saivedant Volvo vs Fashion TV

Teams:

Date: 26 October 

Between all the intense action, an exhibition game was held between Saivedant Volvo and Fashion TV. Both teams enjoyed expressing themselves on the field, and the excitement was evident in their smiles. The game got pretty interesting towards the end, as neither was ready to make it an easy win for the opponent. However, only one team could walk away as winners, and Saivedant Volvo played a little better than the team of Fashion TV.

Winner: Saivedant Volvo (5-4) 

Final: Jaipur vs V-Polo 

Date: 27 October 

Jaipur and V-Polo were the two names who qualified for the finals of this year’s General Amar Singh Kanota Cup. After losing to Jaipur in the tournament’s second game, V-Polo was looking to avenge themselves, but Jaipur was ready for the challenge. Jaipur gained control towards the end, making V-Polo struggle to score any extra goal, which made coping with the lead difficult. The decisive plays made by Jaipur were enough to outplay V-Polo once again and become the champions of the General Amar Singh Kanota Cup. 

Winner: Jaipur ( 7-4 )
