Semi-Final 1: Coca-Cola vs Globalport

Date: 19 February
The first semi-final game was a contest of wits between Coca-Cola and Globalport. The former team developed an excellent grip on the match and its opponents. Not allowing Globalport to play their natural game, Coca-Cola made the ground fizz with their names at regular intervals as they scored 15 points to announce their arrival in the finals in a flamboyant style.

Semi-Final 2: La Dolfina/Tamera vs Pilot
It was time for our second semi-finalists to arrive, which was decided through a match-up between La Dolfina/Tamera and Pilot teams. Comparatively, a lower-scoring game than the previous semi-final, the game, at one point, took an intriguing turn. La Dolfina was able to outclass the Pilot team in this game and finished with almost double the points the latter team scored.

Retama Cup Semi-Final 1: Park Place vs Clearwater
Date: 20 February
The first interesting semi-final to qualify for the Companion final showcased teams representing Park Place and Clearwater. Park Place was playing in an unprecedented manner. Scoring a dozen goals, the players were in phenomenal touch, rightfully applauded by the audience.

Retama Cup Semi-Final 2: The Dutta Corp vs La Fe Eastern Hay
The second semi-final featured The Dutta Corp against La Fe Eastern Hay. This one kept everyone on the edge of their seats, being one of the closest games of the tournament. Towards the final stretch, The Dutta Corp splendidly held their nerves as they went on to score the game’s final goal, sealing the deal for them.

Retama Cup Final: The Dutta Corp vs Park Place
Date: 23 February
A high-scoring ecstatic game between The Dutta Corp and Park Place was witnessed for the Retama Cup on the day of the finals. Park Place had a better start out of both teams, but it was completely overtaken by The Dutta Corp by the end of the third chukker. The pendulum of momentum swung once again when Park Place scored three goals in the last chukker to level the number of points. The game eventually went into overtime, where the Dutta Corp was favoured by the Gods of Fortune and scored the golden goal, winning the Retama Cup.

Final: La Dolfina/Tamera vs Coca-Cola
The showdown between La Dolfina/Tamera and Coca-Cola was a battle of skill and determination, where only one team could claim the trophy, but both won hearts. Despite trailing, Coca-Cola staged a remarkable comeback, transforming a potential disappointing loss into an honorable finish. In a thrilling final round, they scored four consecutive goals, closing the gap and keeping their opponents on edge. However, La Dolfina/Tamera held their ground, defending fiercely and preventing any further goals, ultimately securing the title of this year’s CV Whitney Cup.
