La Irenita MB Win The Duke of Sutherland Cup 2025 in England

The Cowdray Club was ready for exciting action to be unleashed in the all-encapsulating Duke of Sutherland Cup, an 18-goal tournament presented by Equine Management.

Eleven teams geared up for an all-out battle royale across more than two dozen high-stakes games in the latest Duke of Sutherland tournament. Each of the twenty-five matchups delivered electrifying action, with anticipation building as the event progressed to the knockout stages. Here’s a look at the tournament’s most thrilling moments and standout clashes.

Qualifier: La Irenita MB vs Limitless 

Date: 22 May 

The consistent La Irenita MB faced the mighty Limitless in a high-scoring encounter. The game plan was pretty clear for both teams; they wanted to go aggressive and build up a comfortable lead, which they could play around with until the end. However, Limitless could not break through La Irenita MB’s defensive positions. This made the game a little easier for La Irenita MB, as they scored goals consecutively to build up a massive six-point lead, leading to victory.

Winners: La Irenita MB ( 14-8 )

Qualifier: Limitless vs Emlor 

Date: 27 May 

Another close encounter featured Limitless looking to redeem themselves against Emlor. This game got pretty close and intense towards the end. Emlor was able to put up a great competition for Limitless, but the latter was ready and up for the challenges. Limitless scored a crucial goal in the intense game to stay one step ahead of their opponents and crossed this tournament phase with a one-point win.

Winners: Limitless ( 11-10 )

Semi-Final 1: White Crane Black vs Standing Rock 

Date: 6 June 

The first semi-final game was between White Crane Black and Standing Rock. The game got pretty one-sided as White Crane Black brought their ‘A’ game in the match. They smashed goals from all angles, building up a solid lead for themselves. Standing Rock felt under pressure and could not keep up with the scoreboard, which ultimately knocked them out of the tournament.

Winners: White Crane Black ( 13-7 )

Semi-Final 1: La Irenita MB vs La Hechicera 

The second semi-final was between La Irenita MB and La Hechicera. The consistent La Irenita MB had to face the challenging team of La Hachicera in this stage, where all stakes were high. La Irenita MB, continuing their good form, scored many points, pressuring the opponents into making multiple mistakes, which they did. Looking desperate to score, La Hachicera could only manage to get seven points and lost the game by a huge five-point margin.

Winners: La Irenita MB ( 12-7 )

Semi-Final 2 (Tatham Cup): Emlor Black vs Emlor 

Date: 6 June 

Another semi-final game for the famous Tatham Cup was held amidst the intense competition of the Duke of Sutherland Cup. The first one was between the teams of Emlor Black and Emlor. Emlor Black looked like the more dominant team as they charged towards the opponents’ goalpost multiple times, creating chances of scoring many goals. Eventually, they scored ten goals, which were more than enough to make them advance into the finals of the Tatham Cup. 

Winners: Emlor Black ( 10-6 )

Semi-Final 2 (Tatham Cup): G Squared vs Green Gates 

G Squared and Green Gates contested the second semi-final game for the Tatham Cup, and the former team started with a points advantage. Green Gates performed well in coping with the opponents and their scoring pace as a team. G Squared was able to muster a total of 9.5 points, just 1.5 points more than the opponents’, giving them the ticket into the finals of the Tatham Cup.  

Winners: G Squared ( 9.5-8 )

Final (Tatham Cup): Emlor Black vs G Squared 

Date: 8 June 

The final game of the Tatham Cup was played between Emlor Black and G Squared, with the latter team having a points advantage. Despite being under pressure at the start, Emlor Black came out strong from the beginning of the game. They created multiple chances of scoring and smashed a dozen goals, winning the Tatham Cup by a comfortable margin.

Winners: Emlor Black ( 12-6.5 )

Final: La Irenita MB vs White Crane Black 

Date: 8 June 

The time for the finals had arrived, and so were the teams of La Irenita MB and White Crane Black. Two of the most consistent teams had to face each other head-on for one last time with all their strength. La Irenita MB could score at a decent rate, which was matched almost equally by the side of White Crane Black; however, due to the time limit, only one could get over the line. La Irenita MB maintained their good form and composure, which helped them triumph and engrave their names on this year’s Duke of Sutherland Cup.

Winners: La Irenita MB ( 9-6 )
