La Natividad Win The 20 Goal Copa Balfour In Argentina

Polo was back on its feet in Argentina with Copa Balfour, another 20-goal fest making its anticipated return, leaving long-lasting impressions on the minds of polo enthusiasts.

A huge pool of eight teams qualified to take part in this year’s Copa Balfour. Striking with all their might, the players only pushed on in the forward direction, breaking and avoiding any hurdles they encountered on the way. Below is the list of participants, along with the enriched matches that took place at this event.

Semi-Final 1: Cria Emezeta vs La Fe

Date: 25 April 

The first semi-final game was between Cria Emezeta and La Fe, featuring a valiant fight to secure a place in the finals. Cria Emezeta started brilliantly and scored a decent number of goals to build up the pressure on La Fe. La Fe tried to cope with the scoring but was constantly pushed on the back foot, and Cria Emezeta eventually won the game by a five-point margin.

Winner: Cria Emezeta ( 13-8 )

Semi-Final (Copa TB Kenny): San Juan/La Solucion vs La Chacra 

Date: 25 April

On the same day, another semi-final game was held between San Juan/La Solución and La Chacra for the prestigious Copa TB Kenny title. It was a high-scoring game as both teams switched into their aggressive modes. The game was won by San Juan, who scored 15 goals to defeat La Chacra by a convincing five-point margin.

Winner: San Juan/La Solucion ( 15-10 )

Semi-Final (Copa TB Kenny): La Fija vs Don Ercole

The second semi-final of Copa TB Kenny was a close-fought contest between La Fija and Don Ercole. The game got intense towards the end as Don Ercole was able to level the scores, but La Fija was able to keep them at bay. Eventually, controlling the ball beautifully, La Fija was able to secure their spot in the finals for the title of Copa TB Kenny. 

Winner: La Fija ( 9-8 )

Semi-Final 2: La Natividad vs La Dolfina 

Date: 25 April 

The second finalist of the Copa Balfour was decided by a competitive game between La Natividad and La Dolfina. This game caused chills to run down the spines of every spectator. La Natividad worked in a composed way, gradually building up their lead little by little by the end of every round. As soon as the second half began, they pushed harder to score more goals and eventually ended up with 16 total points, earning a well-deserved spot in the finals. 

Winners: La Natividad ( 16-10 )

Final (Copa TB Kenny): San Juan/La Solucion vs La Fe 

Date: 28 April 

This exciting match saw San Juan/La Solucion go head to head wth La Fe, who are always the crowd favourites. The match began on equal footing, but as the game warmed up, San Juan/La Solucion gained momentum and were able to score more goals. In the end, they were the victorious side, with 5 more goals to their credit. 

Winner: San Juan/La Solucion ( 15-10)

Final: La Natividad vs Cria Emezeta

Date: 28 April 

The day had finally arrived for La Natividad to face their last challenge, named Cria Emezeta. The teams had performed phenomenally and were ready for one last ride towards the Copa Balfour Cup. After the first round, La Natividad picked up their usual pace and started leaving behind the team of Cria Emezeta at the end of every round. Cría, not being able to find any openings, came up short at the end, and La Natividad became the undisputed champions of this year’s Copa Balfour. 

Winner: La Natividad ( 16-12 )
