Maharaja of Jodhpur Golden Jubilee Cup (10 goals), 2022

25th December 2022

Match 1: The first match of the first day of the Maharaja of Jodhpur Golden Jubilee Cup (10 Goals) was a showdown between teams Sujan Ashwa and Bedla Polo. Players Bh. Hemendra Singh Rathore, Kr. Yongeshwar Singh, Mr Angad Kalaan, and Mr Silvestre Donovan represented the former team, while players Rao Aryaman Singh Bedla, Maj. Mrityunjay Singh, Mr Abhimanyu Pathak, and Mr Lance D Eric Watson represented the latter.

Bedla Polo had the upper hand in the first chukker of the match as they managed to secure 4 goals in contrast to none scored by Sujan Ashwa. The second chukker saw Sujan Ashwa picking up the pace and both teams scored 2 goals each. The third chukker was dominated by Sujan Ashwa with Mr Anagd Kalaan securing 1 goal and Mr Silvestre Donovan securing 2 goals, in contrast to Bedla Polo’s zero goals. Finally, the fourth chukker ended the heated game with a final score of 8-6 in favour of Team Bedla Polo.

Match 2: The second match of the day occurred between teams Jodhpur Carysil and Patine/Amyza. The former consisted of the players Mr Ranshay Purohit, Mr Gaurav Sahgal, and Kr. Kuldeep Singh Rathore, and Mr. Dhruvpal Godhara. The latter team consisted of players Mr Amer Randhava, Kr. Dhananjay Singh Rathore, Syed Basheer Ali, and Mr Gonzalo Yanzon.

The match was off to a slow start in the first chukker with only 1 goal by Jodhpur Carysil and 2 by Mr Gonzalo Yanzon of Patine/Amyza. The match quickly picked up pace in the second chukker and Jodhpur Carysil secured 3 goals. The third chukker was single-handedly dominated by Mr Dhruvpal Godara of Jodhpur Carysil as he secured 2 goals, the only ones in the entire chukker. With Jodhpur Carysil dominating the final chukker, the final score was 10-4.5 in favour of Team Jodhpur Carysil.

 

26th December 2022

Match 1: The day began with a match between teams Rajnigandha Achievers (consisting of players Bh. Nikhlendra Singh, Mr Nimit Mehta, Syed Shamsheer Ali, and Mr Chris Mackenzie) and Bedla Polo (consisting of players Rao Aryaman Singh, Maj. Mrityunjay Singh, Mr Abhimanyu Pathak, and Mr Lance D Eric Watson). The foundation of the match was laid by Rajnigandha Achievers with 3 goals in the first chukker, all scored by Syed Shamsheer Ali, with Bedla Polo scoring 1 goal. The second chukker again saw the Rajnigandha Achievers shining, while the last two chukkers were rather slow to gain momentum, with each team scoring 2 goals in either chukker. The final score was 9-5 in favour of the Rajnigandha Achievers.

Match 2: The second match of the day occurred between teams Jodhpur Carysil (consisting of players  Mr Ranshay Purohit, Mr Gaurav Sahgal, Kr. Kuldeep Singh Rathore, and Mr Dhruvpal Godhara) and Sujan Indian Tigers (consisting of players Th. Veeram Dev Singh Krishnawat, Kr. Bhawani Singh Kalvi, H.H. Maharaja Sawai Padmanabh Singh of Jaipur, and Mr Siddhant Sharma). The match was off to a rather slow start with only 2 goals scored by the latter team in the first chukker while the former scored none. The pace was picked up in the second chukker with 3 goals scored by the Sujan Indian Tigers Team, followed by 3 goals scored by Jodhpur Carysil in the third chukker. By the final chukker, Team Sujan Indian Tigers were leading with a final score of 9-5.5.

 

27th December 2022

Match 1: The first match of the day was between the teams Rajnigandha Achievers (consisting of players Bh. Nikhlendra Singh, Mr Nimit Mehta, Syed Shamsheer Ali, and Mr Chris Mackenzie) and Sujan Ashwa (consisting of players Bh. Hemendra Singh Rathore, Kr. Yogeshwar Singh, Salim Azmi, and Mr Silvestre Donovan). The match kicked off slowly in the first and second chukker with only 1 goal scored by the former and 2 goals scored by the latter team in both the chukkers. The final chukker was rather heated and the Rajnigandha Achievers scored 5 goals in contrast to Sujan Ashwa’s zero goals. The final score was 7-6.5 in favour of the Rajnigandha Achievers.

Match 2: The second match of the day was between the teams Sujan Indian Tigers (consisting of players Th. Veeram Dev Singh Krishnawat, Kr. Bhawani Singh Kalvi, H.H. Maharaja Sawai Padmanabh Singh of Jaipur, and Mr Siddhant Sharma) and Patine/Amyza (consisted of players Mr Amer Randhava, Kr. Dhananjay Singh Rathore, Syed Basheer Ali, and Mr Gonzalo Yanzon). The first chukker saw zero goals by either team and the match was already off to a slow start. The match picked up pace in the second chukker with 2 goals scored by both teams. The pace remained more or less consistent throughout the final chukker and the final score was 6-5.5, a close win for Team Sujan Indian Tigers.

 

29th December 2022

Match 1: The first match of the day kicked off between teams Rajnigandha Achievers (consisting of players Bh. Nikhlendra Singh, Mr Nimit Mehta, Syed Shamsheer Ali, and Mr Chris Mackenzie) dressed in blue and Jodhpur Carysil (consisting of players  Mr Ranshay Purohit, Mr Gaurav Sahgal, Kr. Kuldeep Singh Rathore, and Mr Dhruvpal Godara) dressed in white. The Blues kicked off the first chukker with a stronghold, scoring 3 goals in contrast to the zero scored by the Whites. The match picked up momentum in the second chukker giving the Jodhpur Carysil an upper hand with 2 goals in their basket. The third chukker saw Rajnigandha Achievers take the lead again with 3 goals and the final score was 9-6.5, in favour of Team Rajnigandha Achievers.

Match 2: The second match of the day took place between teams Sujan Indian Tigers (consisting of players Th. Viram Dev Singh Krishnawat, Kr. Bhawani Singh Kalvi, H.H. Maharaja Sawai Padmanabh Singh of Jaipur, and Mr Siddhant Sharma) and Bedla Polo (consisting of players Rao Himmat Singh Bedla, Maj. Mrityunjay Singh, Mr Abhimanyu Pathak, and Mr Lance D Eric Watson). While the match started off slow with only one goal scored by each team in the first two chukkers, the match picked up the pace soon. Team Sujan Indian Tigers maintained an upper hand there on out and the final score was 8-4 in favour of them.

 

30th December 2022

The last match of the last day of the Maharaja of Jodhpur Golden Jubilee Cup (10 Goals) was a face-off between two champion teams, Rajnigandha Achievers, dressed in blue and Sujan Indian Tigers, dressed in yellow. The former consisted of players Bh. Nikhlendra Singh, Mr Nimit Mehta, Syed Shamsheer Ali, and Mr Chris Mackenzie. The latter consisted of players Jaisal Singh, Kr. Bhawani Singh Kalvi, H.H. Maharaja Sawai Padmanabh Singh of Jaipur, and Mr Siddhant Sharma.

The final confrontation saw the Rajnigandha Achievers score 2 goals in the first chukker while the Sujan Indian Tigers scored 1, and vice-versa in the second chukker. The third chukker also saw a similar score of 2 goals by Rajnigandha Achievers and 1 by Sujan Indian Tigers. The final chukker was the ultimate face-off where both teams managed to score 1 goal each. In what was an intense game, the final score was 6-5, in favour of the Team Rajnigandha Achievers.
