eing constantly on the lookout for something new is interesting and encouraging in itself. Everything is about perfection and anything less is not required. And when two big things collaborate, perfection gets a whole new meaning. A lot of creativity with quality is summed up in Maker’s Mark x Woodzee Sunglasses. Two proud American companies and one spectacular sunglass is truly admirable and applaudable.
Woodzee, a sunglass company teamed up with Maker’s Mark, one of America’s premier small-batch bourbon whisky distilleries to produce these wood wayfarer sunglasses that are crafted from recycled oak barrel staves. “These sunglasses are made with nontoxic materials from sustainably sourced American woods, yielding an overall better product. Taking production to the next level, this line of sunglasses also introduces science into the equation with patent-pending IsoShokTM technology and high-quality polycarbonate lenses,” says Woodzee founder Luke Winter.
Woodzee is producing 200 pairs from 20 barrels and each pair of sunglasses features a hand-flamed finish. For Woodzee sustainability was always on top and this time recycled barrels are put in the making of unique and upcycled sunglasses. And they arrive complete with a collector’s edition Maker’s Mark microfiber pouch & paper box completely Made In U.S.A.
