The finals of the Masters Paints Polo Cup 2018 happened at
the Lahore Polo Club (LPC) ground on Sunday. The final match
happened between Master Paints-Rizvi and Newage /Guard
Group. Bilal Haye and Macos Araya supervised the final as field
umpires.
Juan Cruz Losada struck six superb goals for Master Paints-
Rizvi and was the top scorer of the day. The match started with
Newage / Guard Group having one and a half goal handicap
advantage, but they couldn’t make it count as Master Paints-
Rizvi scored two goals and the first chukker ended 2-2(1/2).
The second chukker saw Master Paints-Rizvi score 4 more
goals to make the score 6-2(1/2), before adding to more in the
third chukker. Newage/Guard scored three more and the score
at the end of the third chukker was 8-5(1/2).
The fourth and the last chukker saw Newage/Guard Group two
goals to reduce the deficit to 8-7(1/2). However, Losada scored
to brilliant goals to win the match with the score being 10-7(1/2)
at the end of it. The victory earned his side, Master Paints-Rizvi
the Master Paints Polo Cup 2018.
