The 3rd chukker underway with confidence layering from everywhere and crowd cheering for their team as their medicine of motivation. Here begins the chukker and Pacho controlling the ball in his favour. Out of a sudden, Pacho and Dhruvpal Godara, each scoring one each goal for their respective team. Here ends the chukker with the scoreboard results as RPC- 4 and Chandna Group- 5.
The 4th chukker starts RPC team controlling the ball in their favour half in the beginning of the chukker. Here starts the chukker and out of nowhere, Abhimanyu Pathak and Pacho each scoring goal for their team, RPC, and trailing the score by 1. Watching this in pressure, Dhruvpal Godara, India’s finest finisher of the ball strikes the towards the goal and scoring an absolute beautiful equaliser for his team, Chandna Group. The match between the newest entry, Mumbai Polo team and Kanota team went underway at the Cavalry ground. Playing with a total score of +8 in a 10-goal tournament, Kanota team were given a headsup with a 1.5 point lead. Everyone in the crowd was ready to witness the Mumbai Polo team perform in their first match of the season and the Kanota supporters were already grooving as the team patron was gearing up to display a fantastic game of Polo. As the umpires blew for the match to start, Manuel F. Llorente scored an early goal for the Mumbai Polo team and the scorecard showed a score of 1.5 – 1 in favor of Kanota team. As the match progressed, Mumbai Polo showed their dominance with another goal in their favor, which was scored by Shyam Mehta. The lead was now in Team Mumbai’s hand and they were leading by 2 – 1.5. As Kanota team was losing its grip, Kuldeep Singh Rathore, popularly known as Kulsa, scored two consecutive goals for the team and the scoreboard showed a score of 2 – 3.5 in favor of Kanota team. It looked like Mumbai Polo team would take some time to come back in the game but a goal in the closing minutes of the first chukker by Vandit Golechha decreased the lead to a mere 0.5 goals. The score was 3 – 3.5 after the first chukker.
The second chukker opened with a powerful strike from Mumbai Polo team’s star player, Manolo Llorente. The score was 4 – 3.5 in favor of Mumbai Polo team after Manolo’s goal. Kanota team made a lot of attempts towards the goal but were unable to score a single goal in the second chukker. Shyam Mehta was on fire in the match as he scored one more goal to end the second chukker. The score was 5 – 3.5 in favor of Mumbai after the first half.
The third chukker kicked off with a brilliant run from Kuldeep Singh Rathore from the right as he provides with a long assist to the team patron, Pratap Singh Kanota. Great chemistry between the two couldn’t help in adding a goal to the scorecard as Kuldeep missed by a few inches. Mumbai Polo team was on fire and were ready to take the 2-goal advantage as Manolo Llorente scored two back to back goals and the score was 7 – 3.5 after his goals. The match was completely in favor of Mumbai Polo team now and they clearly had the upper hand. A goal was scored by Shyam Mehta in the dying minutes of the third chukker to increase Mumbai Polo’s lead. The third chukker ended with scorecard displaying a score of 8 – 3.5.
Despite many efforts from both the teams, not a single goal was scored in the last chukker. The goalless last chukker was a happy sign for Mumbai Polo team but Kanota team had to leave the field in disappointment.
The final score of the matchday was Kanota- 3.5 and Mumbai Polo- 8.
