ucci, a renowned couturier entered the culinary world with the luxury Gucci Osteria, a green walled eatery accommodating upto 50 customer huddled over in the new Gucci Garden, an indulging experience accompanied by breathtaking architecture remaining true to the culture and history of Florence in Italy, the restaurant was made accessible to the public on 9 January 2018. The gourmet chef is Massimo Bottura, native of Modena, Italy of three-Michelin-starred Osteria Francescana, in 2016 that was awarded the title of the best restaurant in the world.
The menu incorporates pasta as anticipated from Bottura considering Osteria Francescana's carbohydrate stacked piece of the Netflix show “Master of None”. The scrumptious menu includes golden Parmigiano Reggiano-enriched tortellini, buttery cacio-e-pepe, and creamy mushroom risotto presenting sophisticative insights with a twist on hot dogs, burgers (Bottura loves Shake Shack), and for desserts, a piña colada. Chef-d'oeuvre dishes are estimated approximately between €20 and €30 (US$24 – US$36) each owing to the brand name of Gucci. “Haute couture and Haute cuisine complement each other very well and is a recipe made in heaven” commented Bottura. Gucci CEO Marco Bizzarri and Bottura have been childhood friends as well.
Gucci isn’t the initial brand to pursue the food world and is followed by other leading brands such as Prada ,LVMH(Louis Vuitton) , Tiffany & Company , D & G and Chanel possessing a patisserie , a grocery, a café as well as a food line and a supermarket respectively. Gucci Garden is situated inside the fourteenth century Palazzo della Mercanzi overlooking Florence’s eminent square Piazza della Signoria . The vast expanse of Gucci comprises of an exhibition area , a boutique, cinema that can accommodate about 30 people and certainly the restaurant . The upper floors of Gucci traverse the restaurant includes rooms based on vintage and modern interpretation of Gucci’s logo , items adorned with recurring themes and Gucci’s analysis depicting animals and gardens costing 8 euros of which half is donated to reconstruction projects in Florence.
