Carrying forward about a 50-year-old legacy, players from two veteran teams were present to commemorate this cup, first held in 1975 under the patronage of the late Shri Fakhruddin Ali Ahmed. The festivities of the event began emanating excitement among spectators. Many esteemed dignitaries attended the event, which began with the polo match and afterwards left the audience in awe with many equestrian displays, including tent pegging, showjumping and other cavalry sports.

The Delhi Fall Polo Season ended with the most exciting tournament, the President’s Polo Cup. Engraving a new chapter in the book of India’s legacy in polo, the teams of Bodyguards and Lancers descended upon the field. Players from both teams wanted to perform to the best of their abilities, upholding the integrity of the game. Showcasing marvellous abilities and leaving every attendee on the ground in awe! Putting up a great show, both teams won hearts; however, only one could win the match. In the end, the team of Bodyguards pulled off a spectacular win, defeating the Lancers by just one point.
