The La Fija Polo Club was host to the recently concluded Argentine polo tournament, the Copa Power Horse. In a rigorously demanding format of just three league matches, things quickly escalated and moved towards the knockout stages. Here’s a recap.

Semi-Final 1: La Lupita-La Estacada vs Santa Monica
Date: 3 April
The first semi-final game was between La Lupita-La Estacada and Santa Monica, with the latter starting with a points advantage. The first round was looking good for Santa Monica, but La Lupita quickly started to catch up. By the third round, they not only diminished the lead but went far ahead in points. After that, it was just pure dominance from La Lupita as they claimed their ticket into the finals in style.
Winner: La Lupita – La Estacada ( 11-5.5 )
Semi-Final 2: Power Horse vs Berlinosos
Date: 4 April
The second semi-final featured Power Horse and Berlinosos. The game, despite being low-scoring, was nerve-wracking for both. Berlinosos started off with a points advantage, which helped them keep Power Horse on edge for almost the entire game. The scoreboard read 3.5-2 in favour of Berlinosos at the end of the fourth round. Now was the time for the game to take a dramatic turn, as the team of Power House beat all odds to score three goals to become the second finalist.
Winner: Power Horse ( 5-3.5 )
Final (Copa Sol De Mayo): Santa Monica vs Flying Changes
Date: 5 April
The last day of the event featured three finals. The first final was between Santa Monica and Flying Changes for the Copa Sol De Mayo Cup. Santa Monica led from the front and established brilliant momentum to score goals at regular intervals. The team of Frying Changes tried to make a desperate comeback, but all their efforts were in vain in front of the impeccable defence offered by the opposite side.
Winner: Santa Monica ( 11-7 )
Final (Copa Cavalier): Berlinosos vs Se Pico La Cebolla
Date: 5 April
The second game was played for the Cova Cavalier Cup between the teams of Berlinosos and Se Pico La Cebolla. The game brought everyone to the edge of their seats, as both teams were evenly matched. However, fortune favoured Berlinosos, as they managed to put everything they had into their last eighth goal to lift the Copa Cavalier cup.
Winner: Berlinosos ( 8-7 )
Final: Power Horse vs La Lupita-La Estacada
Date: 5 April
It was time for the coveted finals of the 2025th edition of the Copa Power Horse. The game was held between two dominating teams of the tournament: Power Horse and La Lupita-La Estacada. Both teams were off to a decent start, which looked like anyone’s game. Giving it their all, Power Horse, the favourites, pushed forward with every ounce of their strength to make that magical goal happen, which put them into the lead, making them the winners of this year’s Cup.
