It was the finals Day at The H.H. Maharaja of Jodhpur Cup (8 Goals) Tournament, 20th Jodhpur Polo Season, 2019 greeted by Mehrangarh band’s traditional amusing performance. The players were introduced as Rajnigandha Achievers in blue and yellow was ready to take on SUJAN in navy blue. Mr. Nicholas Scortichini and Mr. Gerardo Mazzini were the umpires and Mr. Samir Suhag was the referee for the match. Mr. Ankur Mishra was the commentator for the day.

The first chukker kicked off with an early goal by Mr. Daniel Otamendi in the first minute for the Achievers. The tussle was getting intense as spot penalty was awarded in favor of Achievers that was converted into a passing stroke and got defended by Mr. Brad Mallet. No goal was scored for SUJAN with the first chukker scores standing at:

Second chukker was dominated by Achievers’ in line passing and striking keeping the possession for most of the chukker. Sawai Padmanabh Singh tackled and flawlessly moved on to score an elegant goal with Daniel Otamendi governing the ball and adding two goals, one of them by converting a 30 yard penalty to the lead for the Achievers. Mr. Simran Singh Shergill scored the first goal to bring SUJAN on the scoreboard winding the second chukker scores at:

The third chukker had Rajnigandha Achievers demonstrate their skills all the way. Mr. Kuldeep Singh scored two goals with Sawai Padmanabh Singh and Daniel Otamendi adding one goal each for the Achievers. SUJAN could not get much of the third chukker missing a few close attempts as no goal was scored. The scores at the end of third chukker were set at:

Achievers entering the fourth and final chukker with an one-sided lead performed more on the defending side as no goal was scored from either teams to have Achievers claiming the Finals glory by a crashing win over SUJAN by 8 goals to 1. The final scoreboard was:

The presentation ceremony had the honor of having Maharaja Daivat Singh of Sirohi and H.H. Maharaja Gaj Singh of Jodhpur who presented the Finals Trophy and prizes to the winning and runner up teams, umpires, the referee and Apji Vijai Singh for magnifying Jodhpur Polo with their support and services.
