Rolex at Watches & Wonders 2022: New Releases, Highlights

From Rolex’s showcase at Watches & Wonders 2022, among the latest updates is the addition to Rolex’s Oyster Perpetual series. Rolex watches are crafted to endure till the longest due to the skilled watchmaking. A few picks:

YACHT-MASTER 40

Created from 18 ct white gold for the first time, the Oyster Perpetual Yacht-Master 40 has a rotatable bezel set with precious stones whose colours echo the aurora borealis and the glow of dawn – pink, light-blue, purple and dark-blue sapphires. Diamonds adorn the lugs and crown guard.

Rolex’s reputation is founded on its consistently outstanding product quality. The watches are durable, sturdy and trusted. The new-generation Oyster Perpetual Air-King features a redesigned case with a crown guard and straight sides. Equipped with calibre 3230, this new watch also has a refreshed dial and benefits from an optimised Chromalight display.

Rolex was one of the first to develop unique characteristics that made the watches suitable for daily use. The Oyster Perpetual GMT-Master II is unveiled in an original configuration comprising the winding crown on the left side of the case and the date aperture at 9 o’clock on the dial. It is also fitted with a Cerachrom bezel insert in green and black ceramic – a colour combination never before seen on this model.

DAY-DATE 40

Rolex always gives the sense of being strong and balanced. Rather than seeking the new and unexpected, the brand sticks to its tried and true techniques and strives for constant advancement. Easily recognizable thanks to its ice-blue dial, the Oyster Perpetual Day-Date 40 in 950 platinum features a fluted bezel. This new version of the watch is also fitted with the emblematic President bracelet.

Even if it doesn’t have a celebrity connection, a vintage Rolex retains its worth. Changes in altitude, temperatures, and moisture, that would destroy other expensive watches tend to have no effect on a Rolex. The Oyster Perpetual Yacht-Master 42 is in 18 ct yellow gold and benefits from an optimised Chromalight display. Like the original 18 ct white gold model, this new version includes a bidirectional rotatable bezel and a Cerachrom insert with a raised graduation, as well as an Oysterflex bracelet.
