Scandinavia is one of the most heritage-rich regions in the whole of Europe. Scandinavia is not a single country but includes mainlands of three kingdoms namely, Denmark, Norway and Sweden.
Scandinavian Beach Polo is said to be the greatest and the largest Polo tournaments in the whole of Northern Europe. The event was one of the firsts to be launched on the sands of the Scandinavian Beach. It is indeed one of its kind.
Hornbaek Beach, known to be one among the most beautiful beaches of Denmark, played host to the first event of this ever majestic tournament. Beach Polo is strikingly different from the usual game of Polo. The sand arena in which it is played is a little less in size and the number of players is between 2-3 than the usual number of 4. The Danish tradition and the reputation of beautiful beaches made it a mandatory outdoor game agreeing with the residents’ summer lifestyle. Many eminent personalities including the Danish/Spanish Royals, business leaders, and celebrities as well attend the event.
This year will see the tournament happening between 3rd and 5th August.
Usually, about 8000 spectators willingly savor this extravagant sport over the period of three days. With wine and gourmet food served to the section of VIP’s, the essence of this tournament automatically enhances.
