Who Rules The Second Day of Maharaja Jiwaji Rao Scindia Gold Cup?

The second day of Maharaja Jiwaji Rao Scindia Gold Cup witnessed 6 teams battling against each other.

The third match of the day, Sona Polo vs Garcha Group/ Aravali Polo, started at 3pm at the Jaipur Polo Ground with Martin Pascual and Shamsheer Ali as the umpires. The match between Sona Polo, in black, and Garcha Group/ Aravali Polo, in white, kickstarted with Vandit Golechha bagging the first goal. Helping Sona Polo take the lead, Vandit scored the goal from a fabulous shot. As the chukker progressed, Vandit scored one more to help Sona Polo extend the lead. The chukker was ending at 2-0 when Angad Kalaan bagged the first goal for Garcha Group/ Aravali Polo. The first chukker winded up at:

The second chukker kicked off with Manolo Llorente completing a great run from the right. Running past the defence line of Sona Polo, Manolo Llorente scored a fantastic goal to bring the scores to level. The scoreboard showed 2-2 after Manolo's goal. Sona Polo were awarded a 40’ penalty which was converted into a goal by Siddhant Sharma. The second chukker winded up at:

Kicking off the third chukker, Sona Polo and Garcha Group/Aravali Polo indulged in an intense fight. The first goal of the chukker was scored by Sona Polo. The score was 4-2 after Sona Polo scored a goal. The match was in its final minutes when a long pass from Manolo Llorente was converted into a goal by Angad Kalaan. The chukker was about to finish at 4-3 when Angad Kalaan scored a fabulous goal in the last 30 seconds to help Garcha Group/ Aravali Polo end the chukker at:

The fourth chukker witnessed both the teams trying hard to score a goal. The fourth chukker was head to head and the teams were battling hard to lead. The first goal of the chukker was done by Abhimanyu Pathak, where he ran with the ball from the center half. The score was 5-4 when Manolo Llorente scored a goal from the 30’ penalty spot. The match was forced into the Golden chukker as the scoreboard after the fourth chukker read:

Match 2: Jindal Panther vs Rajnigandha Achievers

The second match of the day, Jindal Panther vs Rajnigandha Achievers, kicked off with a change in the team as Akshai Malik was playing in place of Naveen Jindal.

The second match of the day, Jindal Panther vs Rajnigandha Achievers, kicked off with both the teams indulging in a warm up session before the match. The teams assembled around the umpires, Cdr Akhil Sirohi and Martin Pascual, kicked off the match in style. Rajnigandha Achievers, playing in white, opened the scoring for the game with Matthew Perry striking the first goal of the match. The score was 1 – 0 and both the teams were involved in a fierce battle. A foul from Jindal Panther turned out to be the second goal for Rajnigandha Achievers. The second goal was scored by Gaurav Sahgal from the 30’ spot. The score after the first chukker was :

The second chukker opened with Rajnigandha Achievers and Jindal Panther involving in a heated battle. A great play from Simran Singh Shergill and Tom Brodie was converted into a goal by Akshai Malik, which marked the first goal for Jindal Panther. The score was 2 – 1 after Akshai's goal. The match resumed with Jindal Panther getting back in the game with Dhananjai Singh bagging a goal for them in the last seconds of the second chukker. The first half ended at:

The third chukker kicked off with Salim Azmi opening the scoring for the chukker. The goal from Salim put Rajnigandha Achievers in charge of the match. Rajnigandha Achievers was leading by 3-2 after Salim's goal. Two great runs from Matthew Perry were defended brilliantly by Simran Singh Shergill as he disallowed Matthew to score twice. A great battle between the two teams was full of agility, hoots and shouts. The third chukker winded up at:

Kicking off the fourth chukker, Simran Singh Shergill striked the ball for a through ball which couldn't be converted into a goal. 4 minutes were left on the clock when Simran Singh Shergill while striking a shot accidentally hit Matthew Perry on the face with his mallet. Fortunately, Matthew Perry didn't get any serious injury and resumed the play instantly keeping the spirit of the game alive. The play resumed and with only 2 minutes left on the clock, Simran Singh Shergill levelled the score with a fantastic shot from the angle. The scoreboard wasn't levelled for long as Gaurav Sahgal scored a goal in the dying minutes of the last chukker and helped Rajnigandha Achievers win the battle. The final score was:

The first chukker kicked off with APRC starting off with a 3.5 lead, as their handicap was less than the opponents. As soon as the umpires, Martin Pascual and Dhruvpal Godara, blew the whistle for the match to start, Basheer Ali scored a goal to open the scoring for Horse & Wagon, playing in white. APRC, covered in yellow, were comfortably leading when a spot hit was awarded to APRC. Buchi Prakash hit the second goal for his team. The score was 3.5 – 2 with APRC in the lead. Basheer Ali ran from the right in the dying minutes of the first chukker to score a goal. The first chukker winded up at:

Holding up the scoreboard tight, Basheer Ali opened the scoring for Horse & Wagon in the second chukker. Horse & Wagon took the lead with Basheer's goal. The second chukker witnessed two more goals from Horse & Wagon team. Cdr Akhil Sirohi and Basheer Ali scored the goals for the team. The chukker was in its finishing minutes when APRC scored a goal to end the chukker at:

The third chukker kicked off with Cdr Akhil Sirohi and Basheer Ali kicking off the play for the third chukker. A great run by Basheer was stopped midway by APRC's defence. The chukker was in its third minute when Horse & Wagon were awarded a 40’ penalty. Basheer Ali scored from the spot and extended Horse & Wagon's lead. Buchi Prakash missed the goal from the 30’ spot and the third chukker ended at:

The last chukker kicked off with Basheer Ali opening the scoring for the chukker. The match was completely one-sided and another spot hit was converted into a goal by Basheer Ali. The match was 10 – 4.5. Horse & Wagon winded up the match with Basheer Ali scoring one more goal to end the chukker. The match ended at:
