Rommy Gianni, the previous year’s winner, has his team Cartier for the 2017 edition of Snow Polo World Cup St. Moritz going strong this year. He has managed to rope in the two previous cup winners, Chris Hyde, the English superstar and Dario Musso along with Charlie Woolridge conquering the final seat.
The title holder Cartier lost the Cartier Cup to Team Maserati last year, and this year it is an open chance for James Beh and his sons Joevy and Garvy, together with Felipe Viana to fetch it back.
Though the Malaysian players are completely new to St. Moritz yet have already experienced playing on snow in Aspen.
Melissa Ganzi of the Badrutt’s Palace Hotel, who performed splendidly in her debut last year, at the St. Moritz, spends her summers in Florida and winters in Aspen, Colorado and shouldn’t be taken lightly. Her team constitutes of Tito Gaudenzi, the only local player as well as the two topmost players Juan Bollini and Agustin ‘Tincho’ Merlos, a 9 goaler and the highest rated player in the whole tournament.
It won’t be really surprising to see the Swiss eagerly waiting to watch the progress of Perrier-Jouet with his brothers Luca and Fabio Meir of the Zurich Polo Club, who are being grouped up with Pablo Jaurenche and Fabion Bolaterio.
