Matching their strides with their teammates the Jindal Panther battled against the Achievers Vishwasudhra, on the first day of the tournament. Playing under the Panther were members Jayvirsinh K Gohil, Siddhanth Sharma, Akshai Malik, and Simran Singh Shergill. Maj. Anant Rajpurohit, Rehat Singh Virk, Shamsheer Ali, and Daniel Otamendi from the Vishwasudhra’s side. Achievers Vishwasudhra faced off against the Panther, with the former winning with a score of 7 to 2 goals.
Following it, Buchi Boys faced off against the Cavalry Achievers, pitching their victory. Players from the Buchi Boys team were Maj. Adhiraj Singh Lokendera S Dhirawat, Abhimanyu Pathak, and Lance Watson warring against Pranav Kapur, Maj MS Choudhan Capt ARS Warraich, Maj Aman Singh, and Matthew Perry. The Buchi Boys won with a score of 10 versus 3 goal points.
27 Oct, Day 2
The day seemed to be not in favor of the Cavalry Achievers, following the match with Sujan Indian Tigers, with tigers making their killing blow, winning with a score of 8 against 2 goals.
Jaisal Singh, HH Sawai Padmanabh Singh of Jaipur, Salvador Jauretche, and Bhavani Singh Kalvi of Tigers faced off against the quartet of Pranav Kapur, MS Choudhan Capt ARS Warraich, Maj Aman Singh, and Matthew Perry. The events of the day came to an end with teams setting the grounds on fire, with their powerful goals, slashing their mallets together.
The player, sharp and expeditious, showcased a brilliant act on day two of the tournament, jugging with a slow start the Achiever’s team, powered up through the match, taking the winning title home against the Panther. Vishwarupe Bajaj, Ravinder Mang, Chris Mackenzie, Kuldeep Singh Rathore from the Rajnigandha Achievers side squared against Jayvirsinh K Gohil, Siddhanth Sharma, Arif Khan and Simran Singh Shergill from the Jindal Panther. Arrogating the opponents, the Achievers won with a score of 5 to 2 goals.
28th Oct, Day 3
On day 3, the Buchi Boys faced off against the Sujan Indian Tigers for the first match of the day. From Buchi’s side were the fast and endearing players Adhiraj Singh, Lokendra Singh Dhirawat, Abhimanyu Pathak, and Lance Watson, who locked horns with Jaisal Singh, HH Sawai Padmanabh Singh of Jaipur, Salvador Jauretche, Bhavani Singh Kalvi of the Panther. Despite Lance Watson’s outstanding performance, the Boys were defeated by The Tigers by a score of 10 against 5 goals.
The Rajnigandha Achievers, leveling up to the expectations, screened another victory of the season, battling against the quatrains of Achievers Vishwasamudra. Representing the former were Vishwarupe Bajaj, Nk. Ravinder Mang, Chris Mackenzie, and Kuldeep Singh Rathore, the latter consisting of Maj Anant Rajpurohit, Rehat Singh Virk, Shmasheer Ali, and Daniel Otamandi. Adding to the list of their victories, the Rajnigandha achievers took a step closer to the finals, in their match against the Achievers Vishwasamudra, with 6 to 4 goals.
Exhibition Match, 30th Oct
Showcasing the valor and power of the sport, Team Jhanvi competes against the Habanos, with both teams displaying an equally brilliant performance, resulting in a draw score. From team Jhanvi were Dr. Shivangi Jaisingh, Angad Singh Sandhu, Maj Aman Singh, and Gaurav Sahgal, engaging with the players of Habanos, Shahnil Smantara/ Monica Saxena, Col VS Kahlon, VSM, Brig GS Pandher, SM, and Basheer Ali, ending the match with a draw, with each team scoring 3 goals.
30th Oct, Day 4, Final
The final match of the Havana Cavalry Gold Cup was held on the 30th of Oct, with a match between the Sujan Indian Tigers and the Rajnigandha Achievers. Both teams displayed an illustrious performance throughout the tournament, making the finals even more interesting. The match began on an equal footing, with neither team scoring a goal in the first chukker, and it was followed by an outstanding performance from Chris Mackenzie. Both teams were at the same score with Sujan Indian tigers scoring a goal in the last minute and taking the title home, against the Rajnigandha Achievers, winning with a score of 8 against 7 goal points.
Lifting the finals trophy were the team members Jaisal Singh, HH Sawai Padmanabh Singh of Jaipur, Salvador Jauretche, and Bhavani Singh Kalvi, versus Viswarupe Bajaj, Ravinder Mang, Chris Mackenzie, and Kuldeep Singh Rathore, taking home the silver crown.
