Opening the season and the outstanding Rajmata Gayatri Devi Memorial Cup with full vigor was the afternoon match between Telangana Polo and Bedla Polo. The former being represented by Rajiv Reddy, Hamza Ali, Basheer Ali and Naveen Singh at an advantage of 0.5 goals while the latter was represented by Rao Himmat Singh Bedla, Hurr Ali, Dhananjay Singh and Lance Watson. Both sides put up a great performance through and through. The teamwork of Hamza and Basheer Ali for Telangana Polo to produce a terrific defense resulted in gaining them 2 goals alongside Naveen Singh’s singlehanded 2 strokes. On the other end, Hurr Ali and Lance Watson showed their dual synergy scoring single goals each as well as defending the chase exceptionally well. Rao Himmat Singh Bedla and Dhananjay Singh scored 2 brilliant goals each leading upto their victory with 6 goals for Bedla Polo against 4.5 of Telangana Polo.
2nd February 2022
For the second day of the tournament two matches were lined up back to back in the heat of the afternoon. One with the sandy winds, Telangana Polo and Los Polistas Polo went head on against each other. This time Hamza Ali was replaced by the ace Dhruvpal Godara. For the first time this season, Los Polistas quartet: Rohan Sundesha, Jayvirsingh Gohil, Kuldeep Singh Rathore and Manolo Llorente, galloped onto the field. A neck to neck game from start to finish it was unpredictable with each minute. For the former team Dhruvpal Godara, Naveen Singh and Basheer Ali score single goals together while adding to the flame the unique duo Jayvirsingh Gohil and Kuldeep Singh Rathore scored two goals each. Thus resulting in the triumph of Los Polistas.
Elevating the adrenaline the next match panned out between V Polo and Rajnigandha Achievers. Playing for V Polo were the fine players Monique Van Haarst, Vandit Goleccha, Gonzalo Yanzan and Angad Kalaan while Dino Dhankar, Ashok Chandna, Daniel Otamendi and H.H. Sawai Padmanabh Singh took the pitch for Rajnigandha Achievers. Vandit Goleccha and Angad Kalaan went all out and took 3 goals together while Daniel Otamendi and Sawai Padmanabh were on fire and took out 5 goals for Achievers. Hence Achievers seized the day with their performance.

Revving up the action on the fields another set of 2 matches were lined up for the third day. To start off for Krishna Miraj Group Polo, Ashvini Sharma, Pratap Kanota, Col. Ravi Rathore VSM and Siddhant Sharma went up against V Polo players Monique Van Haarst, Vandit Goleccha, Gonzalo Yanzon and Angad Kalaan. In the first chukker itself both sides played wonderfully with Siddhant Sharma for Krishna Miraj and Angad Kalaan for V Polo scored two goals. Then V Polo came in strong in the next chukker with Angad Kalaan taking two more goals. In retaliation Col. Ravi Rathore VSM for Krishna Miraj took two goals for Krishna Miraj for the third chukker. Finally the teamwork of V Polo via Gonzalo Yanzon and Angad Kalaan came through leading them to a victory of 7.5 goals against the 6 goals of Krishna Miraj Group Polo.
Up next Los Polistas and Bedla Polo took it to the next level in the late afternoon match. The scoreboard remained almost equivalent the whole match with both sides scoring, defending and chasing with fiery fervor. Replacing Chirag Parekh in Los Polistas, Subham Gupta, Kuldeep Singh Rathore and Manolo Llorente played impeccably scoring 2 goals each for the team. For the Bedla Polo team Rao Himmat Singh Bedla and Dhananjay Singh put up a tough tussle scoring 2 goals each. Lance Watson played effervescently scoring 3 goals for the team but with Jayvirsingh Gohil’s single goal for the first chukker took Los Polistas to victory with 7 goals against 6 goals.
4th February 2022
The last qualifiers match was held between Krishna/ Miraj Group faced off against Rajnigandha Achievers. Keeping everyone on the edge of their seats the match had the tension built up with every chukker. An unmatched display of equestrian prowess was shown by the Rajnigandha Achievers team with the teamwork of H.H. Maharaja Sawai Padmanabh Singh and Daniel Otamendi scoring goals and defending in an overpowering manner with collectively getting 8 goals. For the former team Siddhant Sharma scored 4 goals superbly. With Lokendra Singh’s single goal the Rajnigandha Achievers took the lead into the finals with 9.5 goals against Krishna/ Miraj Group’s with 5 goals.
6th February 2022
The memorable finals graced the RPC Grounds with Rajnigandha Achievers and Los Polistas going head to head against each other. Subham Gupta, H.H. Maharaja Sawai Padmanabh Singh and Ashok Chandna played remarkably scoring single goals each for their teams. Alongside outstanding defense Kuldeep Singh Rathore also scored 3 goals and the international star Manolo Llorente scored 2 goals for the Los Polistas Team. Even so, the stupendous star of the match was Daniel Otamendi scoring 4 goals on his own leading the team Rajnigandha Achievers into their first victory of the Jaipur Season.
