Nic Roldan led his side U. S. Polo Assn. to the world snow polo championship on Sunday held at Rio Grande Park, Aspen.
Roldan was adjudged the MVP of the championship as his side beat the defending champions, Flexjet, by 5 goals to 4.
This was Roldan’s fourth MVP award in five years, he was delighted to have won the tournament , “It’s good to get the trophy back on our squad,”
The U.S. Polo Assn. team included Roldan, Juancito Bollini and Grant Ganzi, while Flexjet included Alejandro Novillo Astrada, Juancito’s father Juan Bollini, and Melissa Ganzi, Grant Ganzi’s mother.
U S Polo Assn. got off to a quick start and were leading 4-1 at halftime. They increased their lead to 5-2 after the third chukker. Flexjet scored two more in the last, but it was not enough and U S Polo Assn. ran out winners without much difficulty.
