WPL Beach Polo World Cup 2024 Held In Miami

This year, the WPL Beach Polo World Cup featured four teams comprising an unconventional number of three players each. They enjoyed competing on Miami Beach Polo for six matches. In case you couldn’t be at the place before, here’s how the tournament’s victors paved their way to win the finals. 

Participating Teams 

The Beach Polo and Blackfin teams had been phenomenal this season, going undefeated into the finals. The remaining two teams also put up some great fights for their supporters to cherish; here are the moments from the concluding stages of the tournament:

3rd & 4th Place: The Setai vs Ketel One

Date: 17 November 

The Setai and Ketel One had the opportunity to finish in the top three of the WPL Beach Polo World Cup. Both teams were out there to enjoy their time but also wanted to win, which made this match a little slow-paced. The Setai, however, were able to accumulate some goals successively and guard their defences pretty well, which helped them build up a lead of two points by the end of the last chukker.

Winner: The Setai (5-3)

Final: Blackfin vs Beach Club 

Date: 17 November 

It was time for two undefeated teams, Blackfin and Beach Club, to face one another in the finals of the WPL Beach Polo World Cup. This game was a little better-paced, and both teams kept scoring in almost every round. The determination of both teams was so evenly matched that by the end of the last round, both ended up evenly on seven points each, resulting in a draw. 

Winners: Draw ( 7-7 )
