Considered Canada’s largest illumination festival, the Niagara Falls Festival of Lights started off as a small collection of lighting displays located near the Falls but has today grown into a fete of splendid, sparkling lights. Given its popularity, in 1992, the Festival of Lights also partnered with Disney for the “Enchantment of Disney” program–which included over 20 animated displays of Disney Classics–with a parade of characters. Unfortunately, in 2013, the deal was discontinued when Disney decided to limit their character appearances to theme parks. Today, the Winter Festival of Lights transforms the city of Niagara Falls into a heaven of brilliance from mid-November to the New Year.
