Oktoberfest, Munich

The annual Oktoberfest is the world’s largest Volksfest (a beer festival) that takes place in Munich, Bavaria.. Each year, from mid-September to end-September, millions of Oktoberfest revellers congregate in Munich to soak in this distinctly Bavarian culture.

During the festival, revellers can sample different varieties of beer brewed in Munich, but the unmissable are: the traditional Märzen and the modern Festbier. The opening ceremony of the Oktoberfest includes two parade celebrations: the costume parade with revellers dressed in traditional lederhosen (men) and dirndls (women) for the occasion.
