The final of the prestigious Barcelona Polo Challenge Negrita Cup took place on Sunday, 13th May 2018. El Cibao la Pampa faced La Mariachisirenitas in an exciting match at the Real Polo Club.
El Cibao la Pampa featuring Javier Lucena, Eduard Guerrand Hermes, Juan Pepa and Patricio Cieza defeated La Mariachisirenitas by 5 goals to 3 and thereby won the 50th edition of the Barcelona Polo Challenge.
The last day of the 50th International Polo Tournament began with the match for third and fourth place. Avstone Hotels defeated Negrita by 7(1/2) goals to 6.
The awards ceremony was attended by Mateo Fandos, Deputy of Esports of the Diputacio de Barcelona, as well as Jaime Espinosa de los Monteros, President of the RFEP, Francisco Jose de Abadal, President of the FCP and the top representatives of the sponsoring brands.
