mity Polo Cup (8 Goal) polo tournament is in progress with 6 teams participating. The tournament will be played on half league basis. Six teams divided into two pools (Pool A – Beast Carnatic, Delhiites Polo, Sahara Warriors, Pool B – Aravali Polo, Adie Broswon, Jindal Panther). Top team from each pool will meet in the finals on Sunday, 10 Dec 2017.

Last round league matches of the tournament were played today at Jaipur Polo Ground. Delhiites Polo beat Sahara Warriors by 7 goals to 6 and Adie Broswwon beat JIndal Panther by 6 goals to 5.

First match of the day was played between Delhiites Polo and Sahara Warriors in which Delhiites Polo beat Sahara Warriors by 7 goals to 6. Himmat Singh Bedla scored opening goal for Sahara Warriors and Sep Sunil added one goal in 1st chukker whereas Delhiites Polo could not make any target in this chukker. In the 2nd chukker Matthew Perry scored one goal for Sahara Warriors but Samir Suhag converted three panelties (two 40 yard and one 60 yard) for Delhiites Polo to equalize the score. In the 3rd chukker Matthew Perry scored one goal to in case the lead of Sahara Warriors but Dhruvpal Godara made two goals for Delhiites Polo took them ahead. In the last chukker Matthew Perry again scored 2 goals to once again incrase the lead of Sahara Warriros but during the last dying minutes Dhrvupal Godara converted two 40 yard penalties and won the match by 7 goals to 6 and entered in the finals of Amity Polo Cup. Scorers for Delhiites Polo were – Dhruvpal Godara (4), Samir Suhag (3). Scorers for Sahara Warriors – Matthew Perry (4), Himmat Singh Bedla (1). Sep Sunil (1).

The last league match of the tournament was played between Adie Broswon and Jindal Panther in which Adie Broswon beat Jindal Panther by 6 goals to 5. Simran Shergill scored opening goal for Jindal Panther and converted a 60 yard penalty while Abhimanyu Pathak scored opening goal for Adie Broswon. In the 2nd chukker Salim Azmi scored one goal for Jindal Panther while Abhimanyu Pathak scored one goal for Adie Broswon. In the 3rd chukker Simran Shergill again scored one goal for Jindal Panther while Abhimanyu Pathak scored 2 goals for Adie Broswon. The score was 4 all at the end of 3rd chukker. In the 4 chukker Salim Azmi scored one goal for Jindal Panther and increase their teams lead but during the dying minutes of the 4th regular chukker Gaurav Sahgal scored a goal for Adie Broswn and equalize the score 5 all. In the last sudden death chukker Gaurav Sahgal scored the winning goal. Scorers for Adie Broswon were – Abhimanyu Pathak (4), Gaurav Sahgal (2). Scorers for Jindal Panther were – Simran Shergill (3), Salim Azmi (2). In Pool B all three teams won their respective matches and got 2 points each but on goal average Jindal Panther got better and entered into the finals.
