Baroda Cup 2018 Witnesses The Second Day In Action.

The day at Baroda Cup 2018 saw three matches back to back.

Jindal Panther vs Rajnigandha Achievers
The first match was battled between Jindal Panther and Rajnigndha Achievers. Jindal Panther had Mr. vandit Golechha(0), Mr. Tom Brodie(+4), Mr. Simran S Shergill(+6) and Mr. Naveen Jindal (0) as players, while Rajnigandha Achievers Team was in action with Sep Ravindra Mang(-2), Mr. Pranav Kapur(+2), Mr. Salim Azmi(+3), and Mr. Matthew Philip Perry(+6). In the beginning of the match, Rajnigandha Achievers had a lead with 0.5

As soon as the second chukker came into action, Tom Brodie hit the ball with his mallet bringing lead for Jindal Panther by yet another goal. But the speed of the match was hacked when Tom Brodie got injured as he was stroked by the leg of one of the umpire’s horse. He was suddenly given the aid, but unfortunately he could not continue to play. He was therefore replaced by Mr. Philip Seller (+2). The game resumed into action again, where Vandit Golechha scored another goal for Jindal Panther, but was soon followed by another one by the opponent team. The score at the end of this chukker was 4-2.5

The third chukker began, but saw a very tough competition and could not see any other goal than a penalty strike by Matthew Philip Perry. The score at the end of this chukker thus remained at 4-3.5

The fourth chukker started off with a distinct note where the game turned tables. The game witnessed three goals back to back where Salim Azmi, Pranav Kapur and again Salim Azmi scored in favor of Rajnigandha Achievers. By the end of the game, the scores were, Jindal Panther 4 and Rajnigandha Achievers 6.5

Garcha Group vs LA Pegasus Polo-Titans

The second of the day had Garcha Group vs LA Pegasus Polo-Titans, where Capt.Mrityunjay Chouhan (-2), Lt. Col. Vishan Chauhan (+4), Mr. Satinder Garcha (+2), and Mr. Raul R Laplacette (+6) played for Garcha Group, while Cdr Akhil Sirohi (+3), Mr. Ranshay Purohit (-2), Mr. Siddhant Sharma (+4), and Mr. Samir Suhag (+5).

The first chukker of the match opened with a goal by Raul R Laplacette in favor of Garcha Group. The second was soon scored by Siddhant Sharma for LA Pegasus Polo-Titans. The score by the end chukker was 1-1.

The second chukker saw Samir Suhag in complete action, thus bringing the score to 3 for LA Pegasus Polo-Titans and 1 for Garcha Group.

The opening goal for the third chukker was made by Lt. Col. Vishan Chauhan, which was soon answered by Siddhant Sharma goal for Titans, followed by a goal of Cdr Akhil Sirohi. The score now was 5-2. The game was in full swing when Raul R Laplacette stroke a beautiful goal bringing Garcha Group back in the game. The score now read, 5-3.

The final chukker saw the competition growing brightly, where Samir Suhag goaled the final score, where LA Pegasus Polo Titans won the match by 6-3.

Aravali Polo vs Krishna Polo

The third match of the day had Aravali Polo and Krishna Polo in competition, where Mr. Hurr Ali (-2), Sawai Padmanabh Singh (+3), Mr. Angad Kalaan (+3), and Mr. Manuel F Llorente (+6) played for Aravali Polo, while Krishna Polo had Mr. Ashvini Sharma (0), Mr. Bhawani Singh Kalvi (+2), Mr. Vishal Singh (+3), and Mr. Abhimanyu Pathak (+5).

The match was too taut, so much so that the first chukker did not see any goal.
Galloping into the other chukker, the opening was finally done by Angad Kalaan through a penalty shot 60, making the score 0-1. This was followed by another goal of Hurr Ali. The other team came into action when Abhimanyu Pathak scored two goals back to back for Krishna Polo. Angad Kalaan scored once again, making the score 3 for Krishna Polo and 2 for Aravali Polo. Keeping the game taut enough, Vishal Singh scored for Krishna Polo, making the score 3 all. The tie score broke when Angad once again goaled making the score 3-4, giving Aravali Polo lead by one goal.

The third chukker of the maintained the taut game and saw only one goal till the last 23 seconds of the chukker which was scored by Manuel, making the score 3-5. But the game back into action when in the last 4 seconds, Bhawani Singh Kalvi shot the ball for a goal. By the end of this chukker, the scoreboard read 4-5.

The final chukker of the match opened with Manuel scoring for Aravali Polo. The next was again in favor of the team when Angad attempted a 40-yard penalty shot. The score now was 4-7 and remained the same till the final seconds of the match. Aravali Polo won the match.
