Ylvisaker Cup one of the prominent polo tournaments draw is expected to be held on 25th January 2018. The Ylvisaker Cup will be held from January 28 to February 18, 2018 at the International Polo Club.
This is one of the most esteemed 20 goal polo tournaments in the nation. An ambitious businessman and erstwhile captain of the Yale polo team, Bill Ylvisaker endowed Palm Beach Polo and Country Club. He also established the Polo Training Foundation to inform and flourish young polo players.
During his participating career in the field of sports, Ylvisaker was a 7-goal player and awarded three U.S. OpenPolo championships, two Coronation Cups against England and Australia, the U.S. Polo Association Gold Cup, and four national, 20-goal championships. He was cited to be the chairman of the U.S. Polo Association from 1970.
Thirteen teams will be competing in the Ylvisaker Cup, the third tournament of the International Polo Club 20-goal season. The tournament will witness the ace Adolfo Cambiaso, who is said to be playing for Valiente in the United States. Coca-Cola won the title last year in 2017 and will be defending the title. The 13 teams that will be participating are Audi, TBA, Coca-Cola, Colorado, GSA, La Indiana, Villa del Lago/Modere, Postage Stamp Farm, SD Farms, Pilot, Tonkawa, Travieso and Valiente.
