The Dubai Gold Cup Series Committee has declared 6 teams that will compete in the first remarkable high-polo of the 2018 Dubai Season: the Silver Cup. The competition will commence on Friday, January 26th and will conclude on Friday, February 9th. The entire tournament will be held at the glorious Al Habtoor Polo & Resort Club as it took place last year in 2017.
UAE Polo Team with the entry of Argentina 9-goaler Polito Pieres will be guarding the title won in 2017.
The teams that are contending are Bin Drai with the polo players representing the team are Rashid Bin Drai, Andrés Laplacette, Matias Torres Zavaleta and Raúl Laplacette. The other team is Habtoor Polo team representing players of the team are Mohammed Al Habtoor, Jack Hyde, Bautista Ortiz de Urbina and Francisco Elizalde. The third team participating is Mahra Polo Team, the representing players of the team are Rashid Al Habtoor, Benjamín Urquiza, 5, Isidro Strada and Jero del Carril. The fourth team is UAE Polo Team, team players are HH Shaikha Maitha, Pablo Avalos, Matías Benoit, Polito Pieres. The fifth team is Wolves Polo Team players representing the team are Habtoor Al Habtoor, Matias Diego González Miguel, Ezequiel Martínez Ferrario and Manuel Crespo. The sixth and final team participating is Zedan Polo Team, the team players are Amr Zedan, Tomás Panelo, Martín Gándara and Pablo Mac Donough.
