Emirates Open Polo Championship: Day 1

The prestigious Emirates Open Polo championship started with wins for Abu Dhabi Polo Team and Maserati Polo Team at the Ghantoot Racing & Polo Club.

The first match saw Abu Dhabi Polo Team claim a 7-6 victory over the Desert Palm Polo Team in an intense match. The winners started quickly taking a lead of three goals in the first chukker. The score got a little even in the third chukker as the Desert Palm thrice against Abu Dhabi’s one. The third chukker saw the game get a bit more intense as it ended 6-5 in Abu Dhabi’s favour. The final two chukkers were tight and Abu Dhabi ran out winners by 7 goals to 5.

The next match saw The Maserati Polo Team take on UAE Polo Team. The game looked evenly matched as the score after the third chukker saw Maserati lead by 3 goals to 2. In the fourth chukker , all four Maserati players scored once without reply and went into the final chukker leading by 7-2. Both teams scored one goal each in the final chukker and the match ended with the final score of 8-3 in favour of The Maserati Polo team.
