LA Esperanza hails Victory at Sotogrande

The All Pro Polo League added another location to its continued spree of organising tournaments across the western world by hosting the annual APPL Black Eagle Showdown on thursday 26 July 2018 at the Don Lunas Polo and Dressage Club in Sotogrande, Spain. All Pro Polo League encourages speedy and open polo tournaments across the globe by altering certain rules of the sport and has successfully organised tournaments in Argentina, U.S.A, Brazil, France and England in this year.

The Match played at the club saw the final face-off between DOS LUNAS comprising of Lucio Fernandez Ocampo, Jose Trenor, Pascual Vicuña and Juan Jauretche while their opponent LA ESPERANZA contained the ferocious Pelayo Berazadi, Facu Sola, Sterling Giannico and Kevin Korst. With a tremendous display of sportsmanship from Berazadi, LA Esperanza trounced Don Lunas in a nail-biting tussle.

Facu Sola who led his winning team La Esperanza shared his thoughts after the pleasant victory- “This year’s APPL was a lot of fun...It is the second time I play with these rules; today’s match was dynamic and it was a pleasure to share the field with a such a great group of players.”

The culmination of the Balck Eagle showdown is just the beginning of the extravaganza that APPL will unpack through their first international series of the “Golden Age Tour”. A series that exclusively invites players who have aged above forty and is scheduled to start from 16th August, 2018.
