Five teams competed in the fiercely fought SUN TROPHY 2018, the first tournament of the season, organized by The Polo Club Saint-Tropez.
The final match saw "F Polo Team" and "Saint-Tropez Polo Team" going head to head in what was a highly contested battle. Mr. Alshair Fiyaz, the club's owner, had the last laugh as his team took the lead in the final seconds of the last chukker and won the Sun Trophy tournament with a score of 8 to 7. The VT Wealth Management team grabbed the 3rd place, followed by the Volex team and the Crazy Horse Polo Team.
Samy JEBABLI won the MVP prize with a luxurious Swiss watch "Franck Dubarry" and a high jewelry bracelet "Charriol" edition Saint-Tropez.
The price of the Best Ponny Player was awarded to "Element", the horseplayer Matias NIGOUL (owned by Ellerstina).
At the awards ceremony, Bentley Cannes & Bentley Monaco, the Club's official sponsors, presented the two models of the new generation Bentley that are to be tried at the Polo Club throughout the season.
At the end of the awards ceremony, the Voltigeurs Cavaliers made their show in front of the terrace of the Polo 1999 restaurant to celebrate, in a medieval atmosphere, the opening of the Polo Club. A pleasure for the eyes and the taste: the Chef delighted all spectators and players.
