Allied Bank Limited (ABL) and Barry’s registered victories in the Samba Bank Lahore Open Polo Championship 2017 matches which were held at the Lahore Polo Club ground on Thursday.
In a thrilling match between Allied Bank and Diamond Paints Allied Bank came out winners by 7 goals to 5. Hamza Mawaz connected a 60 yard penalty and scored again in the dying moments to help Allied Bank Limited get the victory.
In the second match, Hernan Pieres scored three goals to help Barry’s beat Green Orchard by 5-4 in a nail biting encounter. It was a gripping match as the score was tied at 4-4 at the end of the fourth chukker. The match was decided in sudden death when Raja Mikael Sami scored the match winner. Eulogio Celestino and Raja Arslan Najeeb supervised the match as Field umpires.
