Jindal Panther took on Delhiites Polo once again to finally settle the score. Losing the previous match by two goals in a thrilling contest, Jindal Panther desperately wanted to get the win based on the overall goals scored.
The game started with the final score of the previous match as the initial score. 9-7 . 9 for Delhiites Polo and 7 for Jindal Panther.
The game was officiated by umpires Mr Nicolas Scortichini and Mr Dhruvpal Godara, while Mr Salim Azmi was the match referee.
Jindal Panther got off to a quick start with Simran Shergill getting two quick goals. Goals by Bashir Ali for Delhiites and Shamsheer Ali for Jindal , saw the first chukker go 3-1 in favour of Jindal Panther, and 10-10 on aggregate.
The second chukker belonged to Delhiites Polo, as goals by Basheer Ali , Akshai Malik and Gaurav Sahgal extended Delhiites overall lead by 3 goals before Jindal Panther responded with a goal by Shamsheer Ali.
4-4 on the day , but 13-11 on aggregate.
The third Chukker was a tight affair, intense to say the least. Bashir Ali extended the lead for Delhiites Polo, but goals by Simran Shergill and Pranav Kapur saw the lead cut to 14-13 at the end of the chukker.
Jindal panther were leading on the day by 5-6 , but losing 14-13 on aggregate.
Basheer Ali and Shamsheer Ali scored one goal each for their teams before Sameer Suhag and Simran Shergill also scored one each to end the chukker , with the final score on the day being 7-8 in favour of Jindal Panther but the aggregate score being 16-15 in the favour of Delhiites Polo.
The game was probably one of the most tightly fought contests and was gripping from the first to the final whistle.
